FireSecure Studio release

FireSecure Studio 0.4.0 Preview

Introduces Configuration QA and commissioning test packs, expands professional PDF output across engineering tools and refines the Logic Designer for faster day-to-day use.

Preview 15 July 2026

What’s new

  • Configuration QA and commissioning-readiness checks for loaded Advanced MxPro SKF projects
  • Commissioning Test Pack generation with expected responses and field-ready PDF output
  • Direct PDF export for battery calculations
  • Direct PDF export for SKF comparison results
  • Sheet notes stored within Logic Designer .fsld documents and included in Excel and PDF exports
  • Fault action and icon support within Cause & Effect matrices

Improvements

  • Streamlined Logic Designer layout with a compact toolbar, inline cause and effect controls, sheet tabs and collapsible notes
  • Cause & Effect document reference, revision, prepared-by and issue-status details are retained with the .fsld document
  • Logic Designer sheet notes are positioned above the matrix in PDF exports
  • Company logo, address and contact details are now consistently sourced from App Settings for supported PDF exports
  • Battery calculations support design-stage work without requiring a selected battery capacity
  • Commissioning Test Pack PDFs include clearer instructions, expected responses and field sign-off areas
  • PDF export dialogs provide improved scrolling and layout on smaller displays
  • The About page now reflects the current toolset and responds to the available application width
  • Engineering Tool cards provide sufficient space for wrapped descriptions

Fixes

  • Resolved the Configuration QA binding error caused by editing a read-only source filename
  • Removed unsupported functional-test totals from the Commissioning Test Pack interface and PDF output
  • Removed unnecessary lines and visual clutter from Commissioning Test Pack PDFs
  • Prevented lower PDF export options from being clipped by the export window
  • Improved pagination and note placement across wide Cause & Effect PDF sections
  • Prevented Engineering Tool titles and descriptions from being cut off

Known issues

  • SKF Compare remains a trial feature and comparison results should be reviewed before being relied upon for commissioning or change-control decisions
  • Automatic panel configuration analysis currently supports Advanced MxPro SKF files only
  • Configuration QA findings and generated test packs remain subject to engineering review against the approved design and commissioning procedure
  • Table performance with very large datasets may still seem laggy at times
  • The application is currently distributed as preview software
