FireSecure Studio release

FireSecure Studio 0.2.1-preview

Introduces SKF Compare as a trial feature, allowing two Advanced MxPro SKF files to be compared using parsed project data, alongside matrix resizing and usability improvements.

Preview 6 July 2026

What’s new

  • Trial SKF Compare tool for comparing two Advanced MxPro SKF files
  • Parsed configuration comparison rather than raw file or text comparison
  • Detection of added, removed and modified devices
  • Detailed field-by-field inspection of configuration changes
  • Baseline and compared file swapping
  • Change filtering and search

Improvements

  • Clear colour-coded comparison results for added, removed and modified items
  • Improved change summaries and device address information
  • Detailed comparison drawer with baseline and compared values
  • Responsive Cause & Effect matrix header sizing
  • Improved Logic Designer effect-header resizing
  • More stable matrix layouts when resizing the application window

Fixes

  • Prevented Cause & Effect headers from consuming most of the visible matrix area
  • Prevented effect-column resizing from triggering repeated width updates
  • Prevented horizontal column resizing from incorrectly changing header height
  • Resolved Logic Designer header growth caused by repeated layout recalculation
  • Improved matrix header text trimming and tooltip behaviour

Known issues

  • SKF Compare is currently a trial feature and comparison results should be reviewed before being relied upon for commissioning or change-control decisions
  • SKF Compare currently focuses primarily on device-level configuration changes
  • PDF calculation reports are not yet available
  • Only Advanced MxPro SKF files are currently supported
  • Table performance with very large datasets may still seem laggy at times
  • Automatic update checks may fail to occur due to a soft 24 hour lockout
